Although we're almost a few months past the new year, we can't help but feel nostalgic when thinking about 2017. Last year was such a huge year for ManeStreem; we revamped our app, added several team members, executed some amazing partnerships and made priceless connections with people in the beauty and tech space. Although all of the glitz, glam, and fancy events were amazing, the thing we are most proud of is our charitable efforts. Giving back is something we value so much here at ManeStreem. Starting your own business is no easy feat (just ask our CEO!) and we feel it's part of our duty as a succeeding business to help out those who need a little leg up, no matter the situation! One of our proudest moments of 2017 was our Prom Princess Initiative, check out the press release from last year!
ManeStreem Transforms Young Women into Prom Princesses
“ManeStreem Offers Hair and Makeup Services to Young Women At Less Fortunate Schools for Prom”
PHILADELPHIA, PA – APRIL 19, 2017 – ManeStreem, the leading on-demand Beauty and Wellness App is taking initiative and providing a Prom Princess make-over for young women at local high schools throughout the Philadelphia region. With Junior and Senior Prom season around the corner, ManeStreem is giving back to the community and has selected a group of students from Deptford High School (NJ), Tacony Academy (PA), and Science Leadership Academy at Beeber (PA), with the hope that several more schools will participate.
ManeStreem believes that every young woman deserves to feel and look beautiful and is giving a few lucky ladies, who otherwise would not be able to easily afford it, a make-over for their Junior or Senior Prom. At the tap of an app, beauty professionals will go on location (home, school, personal place of choice) to provide professional services.
“We’re so excited to collaborate with two cutting edge apps that have such a strong presence in the Philadelphia community to not only recognize our students’ academic achievements but also help them realize their beauty inside and out on their special day. Thank you ManeStreem and KÜDZOO,” says Principal Chris Johnson from The Science Leadership Academy at Beeber.
ManeStreem takes pride in being a company based in Philadelphia and always looks for ways to give back to the city that gave them their start. “We are proud of how far we have come and plan to execute more charity events similar to the Prom Princess Initiative in the future,” stated Isaac Nakash, ManeStreem President.
We can't wait to see what 2018 brings!
